Sue Frost, Randy Adams: How to Close a Show

No matter how successful or exciting, a Broadway show never has an unlimited life span. Deciding how and when to close a show is one of the many responsibilities of a Producer. We sit down with SUE FROST and RANDY ADAMS as they explain how they broke the news to their cast and crew.

As co-founding members of Junkyard Dog Productions SUE FROST and RANDY ADAMS produced the Tony Award winning musical “Memphis”. Currently, the two are in the midst of producing the original Broadway musical “First Date”. With over 40 years of combined experience, Sue previously ran Godspeed Opera House in Connecticut, and Randy grew the Theater Works in Palo Alto to a successful and reputable theater house on the west coast.

From the ShowbizU archives: Apples and Oranges Arts produced a series of videos interviewing broadway producers, actors, writers, designers, and composers. We’re releasing them all for free here on our YouTube channel. Stay tuned as we add more videos from the archive!
